Production Underwriter – Workers’ Compensation - Remote

A Remote Production Underwriter to help drive our underwriting operations. This role combines the use of proprietary, AI-powered tools with deep insurance knowledge to evaluate, price, and underwrite workers’ compensation policies. You’ll manage both new and renewal business and serve as a key liaison to agency partners in your designated territory.

This is a high-impact role with a strong focus on relationship management, profitability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, quote, and underwrite new and renewal workers’ compensation business within delegated authority.
• Apply underwriting guidelines and industry expertise to determine eligibility and pricing.
• Accept or decline risks based on analysis and company policy.
• Manage and grow agency relationships, including addressing agent and policyholder inquiries.
• Monitor and analyze assigned territory performance, identifying trends and proposing corrective actions.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting workers’ compensation insurance, ideally within an insurance carrier, MGA, or related organization.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills when evaluating risk and pricing.
• Proven ability to manage agent relationships and drive territory growth.
• Ability to calculate premiums, expected loss ratios, and dividends.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess territory performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
