Position Summary:
The Project Monitor I (PM I) will support the Department of Energy (DOE), Office of State and Community Energy Programs (SCEP), Workforce Development programs. The SCEP workforce portfolio prepares the energy efficiency and building electrification workforce through the Energy Auditor Training Program, which funds states to train individuals to conduct energy audits of commercial and residential buildings; the Career Skills Training Program, which funds nonprofit-led partnerships with industry and labor organizations that pair classroom instruction with on-the-job training toward industry-recognized certifications; the Building Training and Assessment Centers Program, which establishes centers that train building technicians and engineers to deliver efficiency upgrades in commercial and institutional buildings; and the State-Based Home Energy Efficiency Contractor Training Program, which funds states to prepare the contractors who install residential efficiency and electrification upgrades.
The Project Monitor I will support the Workforce program federal teams by providing technical expertise and execution for the full grant lifecycle and other programmatic support.
