Job Description - Provider Relations Representative - Sugar Land, TX


POSITION SUMMARY

Integrative Health is a new and growing segment of Integrative Emergency Services ("IES"). IES has a focus on ER operations and Integrative Health has a focus on facilitating the Transitions of Care process. Integrative Health's goal is to serve as an additional resource to bridge patient's ability to access follow up care, post-discharge from a Hospital visit, quickly and conveniently.

Integrative Health is seeking
a Provider Relations Representative to serve as an IES representative and key liaison between IES's emergency department at St. Luke's Health Sugar Land Hospital and the outpatient provider community. This role is responsible for cultivating strong, collaborative relationships with primary care providers, specialists, and practice administrators throughout the Houston area.

A central focus of the position is promoting awareness of a newly implemented data transmission technology that enhances patient care continuity via delivering emergency department visit information to outpatient providers. 
Ideal candidates will bring a combination of relationship-building expertise, strong communication skills, autonomy, and a passion for innovation in healthcare. The position requires a professional, personable approach and the ability to effectively convey both clinical and technical concepts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategically develops and manages long-term relationships with primary care providers, specialists, and practice administrators across the Houston area.
  • Serves as a subject matter representative of IES’s emergency department technology platform, delivering clear, consultative communication to external providers regarding its features, benefits, and integration with outpatient care.
  • Plans and executes targeted outreach strategies, including in-person visits and ongoing communication with external provider offices, to promote awareness, assess impact, and gather feedback on the transmission technolgy's value.
  • Designs and maintains reporting mechanisms to document outreach activities, synthesize provider feedback, and deliver actionable insights to internal teams for service enhancement and operational improvement.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with internal clinical, operational, and technology teams to ensure accurate, up-to-date knowledge of service offerings, workflow updates, and implementation best practices.
  • Identifies, prioritizes, and manages outreach to new provider targets based on strategic territory development goals, utilizing independent judgment to determine appropriate engagement approaches, educational content, and follow-up schedules.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to build rapport across clinical and administrative settings
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and independent judgment.
  • Organized and self-directed, able to manage a field-based schedule and report activity reliably
  • Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills; able to resolve issues with tact and persistence.
  • Comfortable learning new technology and explaining tech-enabled workflows to providers and staff

Education / Experience:  Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.

Required:

  • 3–5 years of experience in provider relations, practice outreach, healthcare sales, or account management.
  • Demonstrated experience in a field-based role or one requiring regular external communication.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Familiarity with EMRs, care coordination tools, or patient referral workflows

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, and communicate clearly in person and over the phone
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to type, handle materials, and reach with arms
  • Ability to perform standard office tasks including prolonged computer use, light filing, and occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds
  • Requires frequent local travel by car to provider offices and partner sites across the Houston area
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle
