Position Name: Purchasing Coordinator – China Supply Chain

Location: Remote (Preference: Latin America or Philippines)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time (US)

Compensation: USD $2,500 per month, depending on experience

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to act as the connector between our U.S. team and our suppliers in China for commercial and architectural lighting. This is not a general virtual assistant role. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working directly with factories and freight, and is comfortable managing the purchasing process from specs through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier & Product Specifications

• Prepare and check spec sheets and product submittals with suppliers.


• Confirm packaging, labeling, and shipping specs before production.

Production & Quality Control

• Track lead times and production schedules.


• Follow up with factories proactively, without needing reminders.


• Schedule QC inspections and follow up on results.

Logistics & Reporting

• Coordinate logistics with freight forwarders and keep shipments on schedule.


• Keep clear, organized records.


• Send short status updates to the U.S. team.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an import/export or purchasing specialist, with at least 2 companies.


• Direct experience purchasing and importing from China.


• Very organized and detail-oriented.


• Able to work independently.


• Patient and professional when working with suppliers.


• Excellent written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with lighting or electrical products (product knowledge can be taught).
