In the Role

Our Tutor Assistants act as senior peers to students on our programs. They help new students go through the beginner material and the first few sprints. The primary goal is to guide, support and motivate new students to the point where they feel confident with the material.

They communicate with students mostly through video calls (group and individual) and direct messages. They are someone that students relate and look up to because, in most cases, they’ve been through the same journey and can explain everything in the language the students will understand. 

They help students with very different requests, from navigating the platform and analytic tools, to writing code or formulas, starting to work on a project, completing simple platform tasks. They share their own life hacks, learning and work experience during these conversations.

• Mentor students during 1-1 video calls
• They deal with different questions from students including a deeper explanation of certain concepts, tools or skills, supporting and navigating students in their assignments
• Host weekly group Co-working sessions for walk-in questions
• Host webinars and other educational events for groups of students (about the content covered in our program, extracurricular skills, career and industry knowledge), or participate in other non-educational meetings with students (such as New Student Orientation meetings) - share their professional expertise and best industry practices with students
• Provide written communication support on the TripleTen Hub.
• Review and assess student projects based on our program's standards and best practices.

• 1+ years of work experience in the US in QA (designing and implementing manual and automated QA tests; testing web applications, APIs, databases, mobile applications; Selenium; Python; GitHub)
• Communication Skills: Strong speaking English skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts and provide constructive, supportive feedback.
• Passion for Tutoring: A patient and approachable attitude, able to break down challenging concepts for students, guiding them to grow in their skills and understanding.
• Proficiency in Circle: Comfortable engaging with students on Circle, both in group settings and one-on-one.
• Commitment: Willing to work full-time aligned with US time zones.

• Salary: $2,300 Monthly

Office Hours:

• Option 1: Tuesday-Saturday 17:00-01:00 EST
• Option 2: Thursday 9:00-17:00 EST
