Job Description - QA/Test Automation Engineer

Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to delivery, with focus on quality management and test automation.
Develop comprehensive test plans and automated test suites for ITSM product features, ensuring thorough coverage across functional, performance, and security aspects.
Execute manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of product functionality and integrations within other products of Matrix42 Portfolio.
Develop and maintain internal TA framework, ensuring it is scalable, maintainable, and effective in detecting issues early in the development cycle.
Work closely with other engineers and product managers to understand requirements, provide input on testability, and ensure that features meet high-quality standards.
Identify, document, and track defects in a clear and concise manner. Work with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues effectively.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and tools, advocating for best practices in testing and quality assurance within the team.
Participate in release planning and ensure that quality standards are met for all product releases, including final sign-off on product readiness.

MUST HAVES

At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance, with a strong background in testing software applications and developing test automation.
Extensive experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using tools like Protractor, Playwright, or similar.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex issues effectively.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

NICE TO HAVE

Experience writing tests with Javascript/Typescript frameworks
Experience with private cloud infrastructure (VMWare vSphere, Hyper-V)
Knowledge and experience with cloud technologies (preferably Microsoft Azure)
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, with a focus on continuous integration and delivery.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, particularly in the Azure ecosystem.
Knowledge of security testing principles and practices, with experience in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities.
