In this role, you will have a significant impact on the management of research and development operations by overseeing budget management, stakeholder communication, and data analytics initiatives. Your contributions will support financial transparency and alignment with the strategic goals of the organization. You will also engage with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, fostering an effective operational environment. This role demands a strong analytical mindset and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures while ensuring adherence to financial deadlines.
Accountabilities
- Budget Management: Planning/Forecasting, Managing/Monitoring Actuals vs Budget.
- Managing Accounting/Finance Deadlines: Quarter Close, Budget Submissions, Annual Planning Cycle.
- Communication with Stakeholders: Engaging with budget owners and leadership.
- Data Analytics: Maintaining Anaplan, Building and Maintaining Dashboards.
- Monitoring Budget/Actuals: Tracking POs/Contracts and Investigating Invoices.
- Supplier Engagement: Resolving financial discrepancies and maintaining relationships.
Requirements
- Master’s degree with 3+ years or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in biotech/pharma business operations.
- Experience with financial reporting and forecasting.
- Familiarity with the drug development process and R&D business units.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau and collaboration tools.
- Fluency in MS Office suite with advanced Excel capabilities.
- Familiarity with enterprise tools like SAP, Ariba, Anaplan.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a complex environment.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate organizational change.
- Proactive and quick learner.
