Job Description - RCM Operations Analyst


Revenue Cycle (RCM) Operations Analysts – Epic Implementation Support

Location: Joplin, Missouri 
Duration: ASAP Start | Contract through November
Travel: Initial onsite travel (~2–3 days) for the first few weeks 

Overview

A health system transitioning from Meditech to Epic (go-live scheduled for end of October) is seeking experienced Revenue Cycle Operations Analysts to support workflow design and operational readiness. The organization is currently behind on workflow build and needs strong operational revenue cycle professionals who can partner with end users to document processes and help define future-state workflows for the Epic Foundation environment.

Available Operational Focus Areas

Front Office / Patient Access

  • Scheduling, Registration, Authorizations, Eligibility

  • Centralized patient access workflows

  • Facility and Physician Clinic operations

Middle Office / Revenue Integrity

  • Charge Capture & Billing (Facility and Professional)

  • Clearinghouse Rejections & Follow-Up

  • Payment Posting & Denial Identification

  • Claim Queue Creation & Processing

Back Office / Patient Financial Services

  • Patient Responsibility & Collections

  • Charity Care Processes

  • GL Reconciliation

  • Centralized Business Office (CBO/SBO) workflows

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with operational end users to assess and document current workflows

  • Help define future-state revenue cycle processes in an Epic Foundation environment

  • Translate operational needs into clear requirements for Epic analysts

  • Identify workflow gaps and provide operational improvement recommendations

  • Support implementation readiness and operational alignment leading up to go-live

Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in an Epic Foundation environment as an operational end user

  • Strong knowledge of revenue cycle operations (Front, Middle, or Back Office)

  • Experience in centralized or Shared Business Office (SBO/CBO) environments preferred

  • Strong workflow documentation and process improvement skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with clinical and operational teams
