Regional Sales Manager | Biochemistry & Life Sciences | Remote, Illinois | $70,000–$100,000 + Commission

You’ll drive business growth across Illinois by helping pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and research institutions access the biochemistry products they need for scientific research and drug discovery. You’ll own your territory, develop new customer relationships, grow existing accounts, and directly contribute to expanding the company’s life sciences business.

What You’ll Get

• Base salary: $70,000–$100,000/year, depending on experience and territory


• Sales commission: 1.5%–7%, based on territory sales performance and percentage of target achieved


• Annual sales targets typically start at $2 million or more, depending on territory

What You’ll Do

• Develop new business and expand existing accounts across pharmaceutical, biotech, and research institution customers


• Manage and grow the assigned Illinois sales territory and achieve revenue targets


• Build relationships with researchers, purchasing teams, and other customer stakeholders


• Conduct customer visits, product presentations, and demonstrations


• Respond to product, pricing, availability, and technical inquiries


• Identify sales opportunities and maintain an active sales pipeline


• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback


• Represent the company at scientific conferences, trade shows, and industry events


• Coordinate with internal teams to support customer satisfaction, order fulfillment, and marketing initiatives

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline


• Scientific background relevant to the chemical, biochemical, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry


• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills


• Ability to work independently and manage a regional territory


• Ability to travel throughout Illinois for customer visits and industry events


• Fluent written and spoken English

Preferred

• Experience in scientific sales, business development, technical support, or account management


• Experience working with pharmaceutical, biotech, or research institution customers
