In this role, you will play a crucial part in maximizing insurance reimbursement by meticulously identifying contractual variances and analyzing payment discrepancies. Accountabilities
- Communicate directly with payors to resolve outstanding underpayments and ensure timely recovery.
- Identify root causes of underpayments and collaborate on addressing them with the client team.
- Maintain knowledge of state and federal insurance regulations and apply them to resolve issues.
- Document all actions in the appropriate tracking systems accurately.
- Provide feedback on trends and issues to management based on data analysis.
- Analyze remittance data for billing opportunities and revenue optimization.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in the hospital or physician insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of the revenue cycle and underpaid accounts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
