Position Summary
The Per Diem RN AMAP Supervisor provides training, supervision, and regulatory oversight for Approved Medication Assistive Personnel (AMAPs) in a behavioral health and substance use treatment setting. This position is based in Morgantown, WV, and includes regular travel to Williamson, WV to support AMAP operations at both sites.
This is a high-impact role ideal for an RN with strong compliance, training, and leadership skills who thrives in a flexible, field-based setting.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support AMAPs across Morgantown and Williamson locations.
Deliver AMAP training per West Virginia OHFLAC standards and organizational protocols.
Conduct quarterly medication pass observations and bi-annual competency evaluations.
Maintain and audit AMAP personnel files, certification records, and testing documentation.
Oversee safe medication handling, storage, and destruction in accordance with policy.
Submit AMAP testing applications, renewal documentation, and follow up on certification status.
Provide coaching and corrective action as needed to ensure medication safety.
Collaborate with site leadership to ensure adequate medication pass coverage.
Travel to Williamson, WV for oversight activities (estimated 1–2 times per month; mileage reimbursed).
Minimum Qualifications
Licensure: Active and unrestricted RN license in West Virginia
Experience: 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health or residential care
Certifications: BLS/CPR (required); AMAP instructor certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Other: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Strong understanding of AMAP regulations and medication safety practices
Ability to train, coach, and supervise unlicensed assistive personnel
Organized, self-directed, and responsive to site needs
Skilled in documentation, compliance, and audit readiness
Trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and team-focused
Work Conditions
10 hours per week, flexible schedule based on site needs
Occasional Travel required between Morgantown and Williamson, WV (mileage reimbursed)
Combination of on-site and remote work
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs. during training and observation
