RPLS - Registered Professional Land Surveyor

CBG Surveying is seeking a licensed RPLS for our Dallas office. As Texas continues to grow every year, our company must keep up with the demand to provide superior services to our clients. The RPLS role is an integral piece to the success of our company and the completion and review of our clients' surveys. This role is a fast-paced office environment working directly with your colleagues in our different departments to ensure top-quality surveys. The RPLS position will report directly to the RPLS Manager.

CBG Surveying is one of the oldest and most successful surveying companies in Dallas and Houston, having been established over 30 years ago. We currently have offices in Dallas and Houston with plans for future growth and expansion as our company continues to grow. This position will give the RPLS a good work-life balance and will surround you with other RPLS for training and knowledge-based sharing opportunities.

Responsibilities

· Review and approve a high volume of builder and residential surveys:
Efficiently manage and process a steady workflow of residential and production builder surveys, ensuring all deliverables meet state and company standards before certifying.

· Evaluate title commitments and analyze encumbrances:
Carefully examine title commitments and related documents to identify and interpret easements, building lines, setbacks, overlapping boundaries, and other recorded encumbrances affecting the subject property.

· Conduct thorough reviews of boundary resolutions:
Assess and verify boundary determinations by analyzing legal descriptions, plats, deed records, and field data to confirm consistency, accuracy, and defensibility of survey results.

· Communicate instructions to internal departments:
Provide clear and actionable direction to drafting teams, title researchers, and field crews to ensure each survey is completed in alignment with project specifications, legal requirements, and client expectations.

Requirements

• Must possess a current Texas Registered Professional  Land Surveyor License
• Experience as an RPLS
• Proficient in Carlson IntelliCAD
• Good managerial and communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to safety principles and protocols
• Strong organizational skills with an emphasis for detail and meeting deadlines
