About the Role

As a Sales/Intake Attorney, you’re the first point of contact for individuals facing criminal charges. You’ll speak with potential clients, understand their situation, and help them see the value and power of having Michael & Associates on their side.

This is not a cold-calling role — you’ll be speaking with pre-qualified potential clients who are actively seeking representation. Your ability to listen, empathize, and communicate clearly will be key to helping clients feel supported from the very first call.

Key Responsibilities

• New Client Acquisition: Conduct daily consultations with pre-qualified potential clients (20 per day). Understand their legal situation, communicate our value, and guide them through the intake process to secure representation.
• Educate and Advise: Develop deep knowledge of criminal law and our firm’s approach to various case types, so you can confidently answer questions and build trust.
• Client Connection: Show empathy and professionalism with every call. Many of our clients are in crisis — your voice and demeanor can turn fear into confidence.
• Brand Representation: As the firm’s first point of contact, you embody our values of zealous advocacy and premium client service. Every interaction should leave potential clients thinking, “Michael & Associates really cares.”

• You Enjoy Doing Consults and Have Experience Selling to New Clients
  You’ll be on the phone a lot — every single day — speaking with potential clients who need help. If you don’t absolutely love engaging with people, listening to their stories, and guiding them toward the best legal solution, this isn’t the right fit. • Strong Phone Sales Skills
  It’s not just about talking — it’s about connecting. You should be friendly, empathetic, and professional, but also confident, knowledgeable about the law, and capable of handling any questions or concerns potential clients may raise. Prior experience in phone-based sales or client consultations is a major plus.
• Appropriate License
  You must have one of the following:
• An active California Bar license, or a clear plan to obtain one; or
• An active Bar license from another state for 5+ years, which can streamline admission to the California Bar; or
• A Bar license from a state that has reciprocity with California (if applicable).

Competitive Salary Range: $130000– $200000 per year (depending on experience and performance)
