Job Description - Sales Development Representative

Sales Development Representative (SDR)

 

Compensation: $85,000–$100,000 base + incentives (well above typical SDR roles)
Location: Remote (US preferred)

Colby is an AI startup fighting for oxygen in a noisy market. We don’t have a giant brand behind us. We don’t have armies of SDRs blasting out sequences. What we have is a product salespeople actually want—an AI that saves them 5–8 hours a week by handling Salesforce busywork.

 

If you join, you won’t just be another SDR grinding cold calls. You’ll be one of the people figuring out how to cut through the noise and make Colby impossible to ignore. We’re offering top-of-market pay for SDRs because we’re not looking for average. We only want the ones who get fired up reading this.

 

What You’ll Actually Do

  • Build pipeline from scratch: research, prospect, and connect with GTM leaders, RevOps teams, and sales managers.
  • Run multi-channel outreach (email, LinkedIn, phone). No templates — just your ability to capture attention and start conversations.
  • Tell the Colby story clearly: reps save hours, hit quota faster, and hate Salesforce less.
  • Partner directly with the founders to test strategies, refine messaging, and share what the market is really saying.
  • Use Colby yourself — the same AI you’re selling will eliminate your admin work.

You’ll be working directly with Connor O’Brien, Colby’s founder, and the early Colby team. You’ll see how an operator builds a GTM motion from the ground up. No middle managers, no endless layers — just direct exposure to how a startup gets built in real time.
