Position Overview

A growing medical technology organization is seeking a Salesforce Data Analyst to support its U.S. sales team through effective CRM administration, data management, reporting, and operational coordination.

Working directly with the VP of Sales, this individual will turn a large, underutilized Salesforce database into accurate dashboards, actionable target lists, and reliable reports. The role combines hands-on Salesforce administration with broader sales operations responsibilities, including commission calculations, customer security assessments, and agreement coordination.

The ideal candidate enjoys bringing structure to imperfect data, communicates confidently with sales professionals, and takes ownership of multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Administration and Data Integrity

  • Manage day-to-day Salesforce administration for the U.S. sales organization in coordination with international colleagues.

  • Review daily entries and follow up with sales representatives to resolve incomplete, inaccurate, or unclear information.

  • Consolidate duplicate reports into a clean, organized, and documented reporting library.

  • Structure record ownership around territories and positions to preserve account history during personnel changes.

  • Maintain ZIP code territory mapping and automated lead routing.

  • Ensure opportunity probabilities, close dates, and next steps remain accurate and current.

Reporting, Dashboards, and Analysis

  • Build individual dashboards for sales representatives and team dashboards for sales leadership.

  • Produce weekly sales scorecards and pipeline reports.

  • Establish consistent closed-lost reporting, including structured loss reasons and monthly and quarterly analysis.

  • Identify past opportunities, inactive accounts, and expansion opportunities within the existing customer base.

  • Provide prioritized prospect and account lists for each sales territory.

Sales Commissions

  • Calculate quarterly sales commissions using installation records and accounts receivable collections data.

  • Prepare accurate, timely commission statements for sales representatives.

Security Assessments and Agreement Coordination

  • Serve as the U.S. point of contact for hospital and health system information security assessments, business associate agreements, and IT agreements.

  • Maintain and use a library of completed assessments, escalating technical exceptions to the appropriate internal teams.

  • Prepare vendor submissions and credentialing packages for group purchasing organizations (GPOs) and integrated delivery networks (IDNs).

  • Coordinate dealer, finder’s fee, and rental agreements, including preparation from approved templates, signature routing, and renewal tracking.

Systems and Integration

  • Support connections between Salesforce and internal product and software platforms, including product usage data.

  • Partner with marketing on lead capture, web lead routing, and campaign reporting.

Sales Team Onboarding and Training

  • Train new sales representatives on Salesforce processes and expectations.

  • Create and maintain data quality standards and concise user guides.

First 90 Days

  • By Day 30: Establish daily data reviews, consolidate duplicate reports, and deliver a consistent weekly sales scorecard.

  • By Day 60: Implement territory-based record ownership, launch individual sales dashboards, and standardize closed-lost reason capture.

  • By Day 90: Complete the first quarterly commission calculation, establish a reusable security assessment library, and deliver prioritized target lists for each territory.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems, analytics, or a related field.

  • At least two years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including reports, dashboards, data cleanup, and user administration.

  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large, imperfect datasets.

  • Clear, confident communication and the ability to follow up directly with sales representatives.

  • Ability to train users and explain processes clearly.

  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and independent follow-through across multiple workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Administrator certification.

  • Experience in medical device, healthcare, or B2B capital equipment sales operations.

  • Experience calculating sales commissions.

  • Familiarity with hospital vendor credentialing, security questionnaires, or GPO contracting.

  • Experience with Salesforce integrations or automation tools.

Measures of Success

Quarterly objectives will be established with the VP of Sales and adjusted as business priorities evolve. Success will include accurate pipeline data, timely commission statements, on-time customer submissions, useful dashboards and target lists, and consistent reporting that supports sales decisions.
