Job Purpose:

To provide expert-level support and configuration for the SAP Funds Management (FM) module, focusing on budget control, financial reporting, and system integration. This role ensures effective financial process automation and cross-functional data flow across SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-level functional support and consultation for SAP FM requirements and configurations.
• Design and implement financial processes covering general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and budget execution.
• Manage fiscal periods and coordinate period-end closing tasks.
• Ensure seamless integration of financial data across SAP modules.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert across multiple SAP-related initiatives.
• Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with SAP systems.
• Specialized expertise in SAP Funds Management (FM), including Budgetary Ledger, FM Derivation, Budgeting, and AVC (Availability Control).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or contribute to complex financial SAP projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree).
• Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) clearance.
• Prior experience supporting financial systems in a federal or defense environment is required.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience supporting ERP systems in military or defense-focused settings.
• Familiarity with DoD technical environments and IT frameworks.
• Proficiency in SAP production support and post-go-live issue resolution.
• Understanding of SAP modules such as ECC, BW, SCM, and SRM.
• Experience using Help Desk ticketing systems and performance metrics reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional SAP teams.
• Knowledge of interface monitoring and error-handling within SAP.
