We are seeking an experienced SAP Integration Architect to lead the design and development of plug-and-play integration solutions across all SAP ecosystems. This strategic role is essential for enabling AppZen customers to seamlessly connect their SAP environments with our AI-powered invoice processing platform. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating SAP marketplace certified integrations and will be responsible for establishing the technical vision and roadmap for our comprehensive SAP integration strategy.
As our SAP Integration Architect, you will architect enterprise-grade, reusable integration solutions that span traditional SAP ECC, modern S/4HANA Cloud, SAP Ariba, SAP Concur, and emerging SAP Business Technology Platform services. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to deliver integrations that can be rapidly deployed across diverse customer environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape and drive our SAP integration roadmap to meet real customer needs and market trends
- Set integration standards that make “plug-and-play” real—fast, scalable, repeatable
- Partner with product to uncover new opportunities and build for what’s next
- Design smart, flexible integrations across SAP ECC, S/4HANA, Ariba, Concur, FieldGlass, and BTP
- Build reusable frameworks, templates, and error-handling that just work
- Lead SAP certification efforts and make sure we stay fully aligned with SAP standards
- Build integrations using SAP CPI, PI/PO, ABAP, OData, and SAP BTP
- Design and implement integrations across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
- Create seamless user experiences with Fiori apps and SAP UI5
- Lead enterprise customer integrations from start to scale
- Troubleshoot complex SAP setups and guide customers with clarity
- Support pre-sales with solution demos and technical expertise
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of hands-on SAP integration and development experience across S/4HANA Cloud, ECC, and hybrid environments
- Proven track record building SAP Store applications or achieving SAP-certified integrations
- Deep expertise in SAP Integration Suite, including CPI, BTP, API Management, Event Mesh, and SAP Cloud Connector
- Advanced ABAP programming, with modern techniques and enhancement frameworks
- Strong background in integrating SAP Ariba, Concur, and other SAP cloud solutions
- Skilled in modern protocols like OData, REST, GraphQL, and data transformation using JSON, XML, and XSLT
- Familiar with SAP functional modules (FI/CO, MM, SD) and analytics tools like HANA, CDS, and SAP Analytics Cloud
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- SAP Integration or BTP certification required; additional SAP and cloud platform certs (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus
- Excellent communicator with a track record of leading technical teams, driving complex projects, and working across global teams
Nice to Have:
- Experience with next-gen SAP technologies like SAP Graph, MDG, Data Intelligence, Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud
- Familiar with integration platforms like MuleSoft, Workato, or Boomi in SAP environments
- Programming skills in Python, Java, Node.js, or Golang for hybrid or custom scenarios
- Domain knowledge in fintech, invoice automation, procurement, and expense management
- Understanding of compliance, financial data governance, and AI/ML-driven integration patterns
- Master’s degree or MBA a plus
- SAP Master/Solution Architect certifications and cloud architecture certs (AWS, Azure, etc.) highly valued
