Compensation: $60,000-$65,000 / annual

Benefit Eligibility: Paid Time Off

TechForce Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) working nationwide to support technical education and the professional technician workforce. We help students explore the career path, pursue their technical training through scholarships and grants, and connect with apprenticeships and jobs in the automotive, trucking, collision, aviation, restoration, motorsports, HVAC, welding, stationary engines, and numerous other industry sectors that rely on this skilled workforce.

Position Summary

TechForce Foundation seeks a highly motivated, people-oriented School Outreach Coordinator

to join our team in a Term of Project Role Capacity. The primary focus of this role is to create

new and nurture existing nationwide school partnerships; specifically with middle, high school

and post-secondary institutions’ Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, and drive

student enrollment into the TechForce Network—our digital platform that connects students to

scholarships, career tools, events, and more. The secondary focus will be to establish outreach

workflows and processes for scalability.

Additionally, this role will support existing school partnerships, perform in-person school visits

(travel required), coordinate follow-up activities, schedule meetings and demonstrations, and

contribute to the overall engagement strategy. Candidates should be outgoing, organized, self-

directed, and passionate about helping students explore and succeed in technician careers.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and reach out to middle schools, high schools and technical post-secondary institutions to introduce TechForce and its resources.
  • Schedule and host introductory meetings and virtual demos with school staff and instructors.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with educators, counselors, and program leaders.
  • Encourage and facilitate student registration in the TechForce Network.
  • Follow up with existing school contacts to deepen engagement and support student participation in scholarships and events.
  • Track and report outreach activities and school engagement metrics.
  • Collaborate with TechForce’s schools and scholarships teams as needed.
  • Assist with special projects or campaigns related to school outreach and scholarship promotion.
  • Attend in-person events, conferences, and/or school visits.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident in outreach and follow-up.
  • Effective in delivering presentations to small and medium-sized groups.
  • Comfortable with email, phone, and virtual platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple relationships.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Passion for education, workforce development, or nonprofit work.

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • College degree and/or relevant experience in education, nonprofit, or outreach fields
  • preferred but not required

Abilities:

  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds 5% of theworkday; must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn, and reason for all of the workday; must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel as needed, up to 20% travel.
