Senior Accountant

A progressive, forward-thinking, independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join their firm on a remote basis.
This firm offers a range of services to their clients, and you will be responsible for managing the entire process for your own portfolio, covering a variety of tasks to keep your work varied.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Managing your own portfolio of clients, being responsible for the full 360 client experience from start to finish.
• Preparation of statutory year end accounts.
• Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns and providing tax advice.
• Preparation of VAT returns.
• Preparation of management accounts.
• Bookkeeping for your portfolio of clients.

The payroll is dealt with by a dedicated payroll team.

To qualify for this Senior Accountant role, ideally you will meet the following:

• ACA or ACCA qualified with relevant Practice experience working as a Senior Accountant or similar.
• Experience using Excel, Sage, Quickbooks, VT, FreeAgent, and Xero is desirable.
• You must feel comfortable with all aspects of managing your own portfolio of clients, from communicating, managing deadlines, and doing the accountancy work.
• Client-focused, dedicated to providing excellent service and forming long-term relationships with your clients.

• Fully remote role.
• 1 in-person meet-up every year which is fully funded by the firm.
• 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
• Salary from £38,000 to £42,000
