Senior Business Analyst

As a Senior Business Analyst, you play a critical role in scoping the goals and dreams of our clients into achievable project realities. Working closely with the Project Manager and Solution Architect, you will lead clients through the Discovery journey and verify their documented needs are met through the Execution of each project while helping to note and prioritize future projects along the path.

With an understanding of each client’s business goals, you will join with the technical team to win trust and confidence as you build true partner relationships with our clients.

KEY ROLES

• Engage with clients to learn business goals of the current project and long-term plans
• Facilitate effective client meetings to elicit business requirements, drive collaborative process redesign, and conduct verification activities.
• Advise clients for maximum business efficiency and success
• Help Project Manager manage client expectations; push back where necessary; consult on stakeholder management
• Encourage open dialogue and collaboration with clients and across the MOM team
• Identify opportunities for potential future engagements and collaborate with Project Manager on proposals for same

• Facilitate business analysis activities
• Own Discovery deliverables pertaining to project scope such as requirements, user stories, and process diagrams
• Coordinate with PM/Architect/Technical Team Lead to ensure Work Breakdown Structure and ultimate solution meet documented scope/requirements
• Assist Project Manager with the definition of ‘done’ for the team
• Ensure full verification of the project by leading creation and execution of test plans and procedures by the project team and the client

QUALIFICATIONS

Business Analyst experience on projects developing software applications

• Management of solution discovery efforts including business analysis/working sessions, documenting user stories and business process requirements, gathering and documenting technical requirements, and documenting future state systems using workflows and diagrams
• Analysis and documentation of systems from both a business and technical perspective (with the assistance of Architect/Technical team members) to clarify functionality, aid knowledge transfer, and recommend improvements

Quality Assurance Analyst experience within software applications

• Creation and execution of test plans against requirements documentation
• Facilitation of User Acceptance Testing with client stakeholders

Ability to:

• communicate and collaborate with the utmost professionalism, both verbally and in written form

• perform at the highest level on many projects simultaneously to deliver on-time solutions to clients

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience with taking an iterative approach to complete project-based work
• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, directly supporting Marketing and Sales
• Assisting the Project Manager and Architect with many of the project lifecycle artifacts, e.g., work breakdown structure, estimate spreadsheets, status reports, change control, and project management plan
• Experience fulfilling a Project Manager role on short/small engagements for budgetary efficiency

• Ability to remain stationary at a desk for several hours at a time
• Ability to constantly operate a computer throughout the workday
• Ability to speak, write, and understand the English language
• Ability to occasionally work evening and weekend hours to support a client project implementation or “go-live”
