Senior Civil Designer, Site Civil

Description

The Site Civil Triangle team in Downtown Raleigh, NC, is seeking a highly skilled professional to support their growing group. The ideal candidate will have an associate's degree, a related technical certificate, or equivalent experience, along with 10+ years of AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D experience. They should be self-motivated, team-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines. In addition, having strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of planning and design concepts are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a willingness to take direction are also key. The role requires an energetic, flexible, and forward-thinking professional who is personally invested in their career and building and flourishing in our Site Civil Practice.

This is a hybrid role working out of our Raleigh, NC office, where employees and supervisors collaborate to establish an in- and out-of-office schedule that “works” for all involved.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preliminary and completed layouts, design concepts, and detailed design drawings from technical notes, sketches, and/or other drawings, ensuring they meet our company and industry standards and codes
• Review data received from senior technical staff and Project Managers (PMs), analyze information, and determine compliance with standards and design concepts
• Research and obtain standards/codes required by client and jurisdiction
• Complete deliverables and project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule, reviewing drawings for completeness and accuracy
• Use various applications to generate drawings, reports, or other technical based deliverables based on specific project requirements
• Analyze technical problems; devise new or improved techniques, approaches, and alternative solutions; and communicate those to supervisor for approval and implementation

Requirements

• Associate degree or related technical certificate or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of AutoCAD Civil3D Experience
