Senior Data Consultant
We are seeking a Senior Data Consultant, who will lead the strategic alignment of industrial data across a global pharmaceutical manufacturing landscape. They will have knowledge of high-level business systems and floor-level automation, ensuring data from disparate sources is structured, interoperable and ready for advanced analytics. They will have extensive experience in data strategy, data integration, and data historian systems, with a strong ability to lead complex projects and mentor junior team members. This role involves providing strategic insights, leading data projects, and ensuring seamless operation and optimization of data systems.
Location: North Carolina, US
Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Data Leadership:
· Develop and implement comprehensive data strategies that align with business goals.
· Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced data solutions, including data historian systems.
· Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.
Project Management:
· Lead and manage complex data projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams to analyze data and business processes to identify gaps and recommend solutions to enable data standardization.
Technical Expertise:
· Develop and oversee the implementation of advanced data integration frameworks and methodologies.
· Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging data technologies to enhance system capabilities.
· Establish best practices for data governance, ensuring data quality and consistency across all systems.
· Drive innovation in data processing and analytics, leveraging machine learning and AI where applicable.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or master's degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data analysis, data management, or a related role, with focus on the following systems: AVEVA PI, AspenTech IP.21, AspenTech Inmation, Inductive Automation Ignition, PTC Kepware
· 5+ years' experience in a consulting environment.
Preferred Skills:
· Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are essential.
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance.
· Knowledge of industry standards such as ISA-88, ISA-95, FAIR data principles and data integrity principles (ALCOA+).
· Strong understanding of GAMP 5 frameworks and Computer Systems Validation (CSV) within a regulated environment.
· Understanding of ontologies and their role in standardization efforts is beneficial.
· Experience with data visualization or analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.), or programming languages (such as SQL, Python, R, etc.) is a plus.
