DescriptionThe Sr. Director of Global Time & Pay leads global Time & Pay operations supporting 60,000+ employees across 50+ countries, with responsibility for payroll, time & attendance, compliance, vendor management, process transformation, controls, and technology strategy. This role builds strong partnerships across HR, Employee Relations, Legal, Finance, IT and business functions.

ResponsibilitiesLead Global Time & Pay Operations
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for global Time & Pay services supporting 60,000+ employees across 50+ countries. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing and workforce management through a combination of in-house teams and outsourced service providers.
Develop Global Service Delivery Strategy
- Define and execute the global Time & Pay operating model, vendor strategy, and technology roadmap. Lead the implementation and optimization of payroll and workforce management solutions that support business growth, scalability, and operational excellence.
Drive Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management
- Establish and maintain global governance frameworks, policies, controls, and procedures to ensure compliance with payroll regulations, labor laws, tax requirements, SOX controls, and internal policies. Monitor legislative changes and coordinate necessary operational and system updates to maintain compliance.
Manage Strategic Vendor Partnerships
- Oversee relationships with global payroll, workforce management, and technology vendors. Establish service level expectations, monitor performance against SLAs and KPIs, conduct regular vendor assessments, and drive continuous service improvements.
Lead Transformation and Continuous Improvement
- Champion global process standardization, automation, and digital transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, improve employee experience, and optimize service delivery. Leverage technology and data analytics to drive operational effectiveness and informed decision-making.
Build High-Performing Global Teams
- Lead, develop, and inspire a globally distributed team through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and career development. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer-focused service excellence while safeguarding sensitive employee information with the highest level of integrity and discretion.
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Global Time & Pay, Payroll Operations, Workforce Management, Shared Services, or related functions, including responsibility for large-scale, multi-country operations and global teams.
- Proven experience developing and executing global Time & Pay strategies that align business objectives, operational excellence, compliance, and employee experience.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale payroll transformation initiatives, including operating model redesign, process standardization, automation, and technology implementations on a global scale.
- Deep expertise in global payroll operations, workforce management, and timekeeping practices across multiple regions, including both in-house and outsourced service delivery models.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end Time-to-Pay processes, including payroll taxation, labor regulations, statutory compliance, treasury requirements, payroll accounting, controls, and audit requirements.
- Experience establishing governance frameworks, service delivery metrics, SLAs, KPIs, and controls to drive operational performance and compliance.
- Significant experience managing global vendor relationships, contract negotiations, performance management, and strategic partnerships.
- Strong business acumen, financial management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate risks, prioritize investments, and drive data-informed decisions.
- Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills with the ability to build partnerships across HR, Finance, Legal, IT, and senior business leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, build high-performing teams, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Preferred:
- MBA, CPA or CGMA
- Experience with leading Payroll and Workforce Management platforms, including UKG, Dayforce, Oracle HCM, and other cloud-based solutions.
- Experience leading global shared services, HR operations, payroll transformations, or enterprise-wide technology deployments.
- Experience in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Shared Services, or related business functions.
- Advanced negotiation, vendor governance, and change management experience in a global environment.
