About the Role

We’re working with a small, high-growth Fire Protection Engineering consultancy (4-person team) that is doing something genuinely different — leveraging in-house AI tools to transform how fire protection and code consulting work is delivered.

They’ve built proprietary technology that automates traditionally time-intensive tasks like chemical inventory analysis, code classification, and compliance review — turning work that used to take 40–60 hours into minutes.

Now, they’re looking to bring in a Senior Fire Protection Engineer (seller-doer) to help lead technical delivery, support client growth, and work alongside leadership to scale the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead fire protection engineering and code consulting projects across complex facilities


• Oversee and validate outputs from AI-assisted engineering workflows


• Deliver fire and life safety strategies including fire master plans and fuel modification plans


• Review and respond to plan check comments and code compliance requirements


• Support projects involving hazardous materials, labs, and chemical inventories


• Work directly with clients as a trusted advisor


• Contribute to business development and client growth (seller-doer model)


• Help shape how engineering and AI workflows integrate as the company scales

What We’re Looking For

• 8–15+ years of fire protection engineering experience


• Strong background in code consulting and life safety design


• Experience with complex occupancies (labs, industrial, hazardous materials a plus)


• Comfortable operating as a seller-doer (client-facing + technical delivery)


• PE license preferred


• Open-minded and curious about technology and AI-enabled workflows


• Self-sufficient, entrepreneurial mindset

Location & Work Style

• Fully remote role


• West Coast or Central time zones preferred (project/client alignment)


• East Coast candidates considered, but must be comfortable with time zone overlap

Compensation & Benefits
