Job Description - Senior Manager, Ad Operations

About the Team

Our Advertising & Promotions team broadly operates at the intersection of e-commerce and advertising, surfacing and monetizing relevant content that benefits our core audiences.  We provide digital solutions to help advertisers reach DoorDash audiences.

The Ad Operations team at DoorDash operates all managed service merchant and brand-driven promos and ads within the DoorDash app and on other platforms. The focus of this team is to drive quality, speed, and efficiency to our centralized scaled operations.

About the Role

This role will set the operating vision, structure, and performance bar for Ad Operations, as the central leader of all end-to-end execution for all brand and merchant ads & promotions across verticals and geographies. You will lead a multi-tiered organization of strategic operators, driving deep organizational planning across several functions and developing strong operational leaders.

You and your team will partner closely with product, engineering, analytics, sales, S&O, and compliance teams to drive high quality scaled operations while helping to drive new initiatives and specialized programs through complex tradeoffs.

You will report into the Director, Ads Platform on our Ads Platform team in our Ads & Promos organization.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Enable: Empower and develop a broad scope of team leads and their ops pods to create enterprise and SMB ads & promo campaigns at scale and make difficult tradeoff decisions with cross-functional teams.

  • Scope & Influence: Outline product and process gaps to drive your conversations with product, engineering, analytics, accounting, sales, and S&O teams to improve our tooling through product improvements, automation, and more.

  • Own & Take Action: Own all operations and accountability for a team producing hundreds of millions of dollars in ad revenue and consumer savings annually, diving into day-to-day escalations at the lowest level of detail and unblocking our sales team while upholding strong guardrails for quality.

We’re excited about you because…

  • 8+ years of professional experience driving scaled platform operations in fast-growing organizations, with 4+ years of direct people management experience.

  • Experience working directly with product teams to define the roadmap for operations tooling.

  • You’re an excellent problem solver who can dive into complex cross-functional problems with competing tradeoffs and craft thoughtful solutions.

  • Strong data fluency, including the ability to independently analyze performance in SQL and partner with Analytics using tools like Sigma, Tableau, or Looker to drive decisions.

We expect this position to be filled by 4/13/26.
