About Us:
Mfinite Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator to join our team and support the Maryland Judiciary's IT operations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring system stability, security, and performance across enterprise applications.

Position Overview:
As a Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator, you will manage and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments, perform system upgrades, implement automation, and collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards. This hybrid role requires three days onsite in Annapolis, MD, and two days remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers across development, testing, and production environments.
• Perform system upgrades, patch management, and security hardening to ensure compliance.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
• Implement automation scripts using Ansible, Bash, or Python to streamline system administration tasks.
• Configure and maintain Red Hat Satellite, Identity Management (IdM), and other RHEL ecosystem tools.
• Collaborate with security teams to protect systems against vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Maintain and optimize storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Support application teams by providing guidance on best practices for Linux-based deployments.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in on-call support and incident resolution activities as required.
• Set up Network File Server (NFS) and mount points.
• Configure Cron jobs for both systems and applications.

Qualifications:
Required:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator certification (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) - Must be current.

Preferred:

• 10+ years of experience as a Red Hat system administrator.
• 10+ years of experience administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems.
• 15+ years of experience in the IT field.
• Experience with Oracle WebLogic Servers, Oracle Database Servers, Apache Web Servers, vSphere hosted RHEL Servers, Rubrik backup systems, and other enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of Red Hat performance tuning, load balancing, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.
• Ability to troubleshoot at the OS, database, and application levels.

Skills:

• Expertise in working in complex networked environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Leadership capabilities and ability to interface with users and helpdesk teams.
• Knowledge of Red Hat administration, configuration, and tuning.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid schedule: Three days onsite at Maryland Judiciary Information Systems, Annapolis, MD, and two days remote.
• Onsite support may be required within 24 hours of notification.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM EST, with flexibility for extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
