Job Description - Senior Regional Director, Campus Partnerships

Job Description:


Reporting to the Senior AVP for Campus Partnerships, the Senior Regional Director is part of our Campus Partnerships team that serves as connectors for our U.S. partner colleges and universities to the large portfolio of opportunities for students across WorldStrides’ Higher Ed and our faculty-led custom programs. You would serve as the first point of contact for university partners and recruit study abroad students in your assigned region. As a Senior Regional Director, your main areas of responsibility include lead generation, new business and program development, territory growth, and relationship management in order to foster exceptional service to our partners and meet enrollment and revenue goals for WorldStrides’ Higher Ed.


Responsibilities:



  • Work closely with partners on affiliation and associated benefits, program approvals, portfolio development, and strategic programming

  • Participate in student-facing events such as fairs and other recruitment activities, pre-departure orientations, and re-entry support

  • Follow standards of best practices in education abroad. Seek leadership opportunities and engagement with the field through conference participation and conference presentations

  • Stay current with higher education trends such as equity and access in the education abroad sector

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to achieve enrollment and revenue goals for assigned territory

  • Manage detailed record keeping pertaining to the universities within your portfolio

  • Work closely with student Global Ambassadors and/or Peer Advisors in the assigned region

  • This role can be remote within the specified region, unless residing within a 50-mile radius of any WorldStrides office

  • Regular travel of approximately 70-90 days to campuses, events, and conferences per year


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in business, international education or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in international education or other higher education roles

  • Strong understanding of higher education, including trends, challenges and opportunities

  • Strategic mindset with a results-oriented growth mindset with a passion for driving impact

  • Demonstrated experience in public speaking, networking, and relationship building skills

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales and growth goals

  • Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment

  • Clear and empathetic communicator, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High level of adaptability, flexibility, and creative problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Experience with CRM software and other sales technologies

  • Home office required in the region: Prefer location in California; open to other west coast locations but must be convenient to air and/or car travel for the region.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master’s degree in business, international education or related field

  • Proven track record in higher education or travel industry sales

  • Experience in team leadership and strategic planning

• If residing within a 50-mile radius of any WorldStrides office, assume a hybrid work schedule of Tues./Wed./Thurs in-office
