Position Overview

Tryton TC is seeking an experienced Senior SAP BTP & ABAP Consultant to support enterprise SAP initiatives focused on modern cloud-based development, integrations, and application modernization. This role requires a strong technical background in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), advanced ABAP development, and SAP integration technologies.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across development, architecture, solution design, and stakeholder engagement while collaborating with functional and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-quality SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

SAP BTP Development & Consulting

• Design, develop, and support applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) 
• Build solutions using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) 
• Develop and extend applications utilizing SAP Fiori and UI5 technologies 
• Configure and support SAP Integration Suite components including Cloud Integration, APIs, and Event Mesh 
• Develop and optimize SAP HANA models and database objects 
• Advise stakeholders on SAP BTP capabilities and best practices 

Advanced ABAP Development

• Design and develop complex custom solutions using Object-Oriented ABAP 
• Build applications utilizing ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) 
• Develop and optimize CDS Views, AMDP, and related SAP technologies 
• Troubleshoot performance issues and implement optimization strategies 
• Perform code reviews and promote development best practices 

Integration & API Consulting

• Design and develop OData services (v2 and v4) 
• Build and support RESTful APIs and SAP integrations 
• Work with RFCs, IDocs, SOAP services, JSON, and XML 
• Develop solutions leveraging SAP Gateway and API Management capabilities 
• Provide recommendations for integration architecture and modernization initiatives 

Architecture & Solution Design

• Contribute to solution architecture for hybrid SAP landscapes 
• Support Clean Core initiatives and extensibility strategies 
• Design reusable, scalable, and modular application components 
• Partner with business and functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions 

Leadership & Client Engagement

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and project planning 
• Mentor junior developers and technical team members 
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and project leadership 
• Lead technical discussions, workshops, and solution reviews 
• Create and maintain technical documentation and design artifacts 

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience working within SAP environments 
• Strong expertise with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) 
• Advanced ABAP development experience including Object-Oriented ABAP 
• Experience with RAP, CDS Views, and AMDP 
• Hands-on experience developing SAP Fiori/UI5 applications 
• Strong understanding of SAP Integration Suite and API development 
• Experience working with SAP HANA development and data modeling 
• Knowledge of OData services, REST APIs, RFCs, IDocs, SOAP, JSON, and XML 
• Experience supporting hybrid SAP landscapes and cloud-based architectures 
• Strong communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with SAP Cloud Foundry environments 
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices 
• Experience with Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions 
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes environments 
• Knowledge of SAP modules including FI/CO, MM, SD, and HR 
• Experience implementing Clean Core strategies and SAP modernization initiatives
