Senior Software Developer - .NET & Azure (Costa Rica)

JBS Dev is looking for a seasoned and innovative Senior Software Developer with extensive experience in .NET and enterprise document technologies. You’ll be instrumental in enhancing and maintaining robust document generation, consumption, and management capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and business leaders while shaping high-impact applications that transform the customer experience.

This position is a full-time role. We are 100% remote but candidates must reside and be authorized to work in Costa Rica.

• Collaborate closely with product design, product management, and systems architecture teams to design and implement advanced solutions.
• Enhance core capabilities around document generation, including:
  • Intelligent Document Processing
  • Form data capture and rendering
  • Signature capture, document imaging/conversion, watermarking
• Enhance features related to document consumption such as:
  • Workflow, rights management, distribution, analytics
• Contribute to document management functionality such as:
  • Storage/retrieval, versioning, indexing, search, access control, records management
• Support production environments and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal customer experience.
• Work in an agile, iterative environment with frequent feedback and experimentation.
• Advocate for innovative approaches and adjust solutions based on team and user input.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, supportable, and maintainable applications.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment.

• 5+ years of application development experience, with strong proficiency in .NET.
• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure.
• DevOps proficiency, including CI/CD tools such as TeamCity and Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related IT field.
• Working knowledge of document generation and enterprise content management (ECM) technologies.
• Solid understanding of application standards, design and integration patterns.
• Experience working in microservices-based architectures.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to prioritize and guide development efforts effectively.
