Salary :
You'll join the team behind MedChron, Filevine's AI-powered Medical Chronology product. MedChron reads thousands of pages of medical records and bills and turns them into an accurate, source-cited timeline of a legal case — saving legal teams days of manual review. Under the hood it's a modern, large-scale system: Python/Django services and Temporal workflows orchestrating AI pipelines on AWS/Kubernetes, with a Svelte/React frontend embedded in the Filevine platform. You'll own features end to end — from scalable backend services and workflow orchestration to the UI lawyers rely on every day.
Working at Filevine is a mix of solving real-world customer problems, owning features end to end and shaping how we build software at scale.
Responsibilities
Take ownership of complex features: from shaping them with the Product Manager to shipping them with the team
Help define the roadmap and break it down into real, buildable projects
Keep Filevine at the forefront of modern web development (we’re not into stagnation)
Design scalable systems that don’t crumble when life gets interesting
Collaborate across teams to deliver on time without drama
Review code with intention, mentor others, and raise the engineering bar in a constructive way
Qualification
3+ years building and shipping software products from idea → release → maintenance
Experience leading projects or teams, designing scalable services, and making technical decisions with confidence
Comfortable working across the stack – more focused on solving problems than guarding territory
Thrives in a remote, collaborative environment (async communication, clear thinking, no ego)
Able to partner with operations and customer-facing teams to turn messy realities into clean solutions
Familiar with or open to using: Python, React, Typescript, Kubernetes, AWS
