Your mission shall be to ensure that bugs are caught before they reach the product and to develop automated tests that are embedded in CI/CD pipelines. 

This role offers the flexibility to be based either in Riga, Latvia, Cologne, Germany or fully remote (+/- 3 hours GMT).
Start date for the role - middle of February.

• Build for Quality: Establish a cutting-edge automated testing environment for core network components that manage customer configurations, ensuring seamless performance and reliability.
• Create and Implement: Design and implement robust automated test scripts using industry-standard tools like TRex, as well as custom-built solutions tailored to our needs.
• Enhance Testing Frameworks: Develop and maintain automation frameworks for performance, load, functional, and end-to-end smoke testing, making quality assurance a seamless part of the process.
• Collaborate for Success: Work closely with developers and stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Optimize Processes: Continuously refine testing procedures to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and overall system quality.
• Analyze and Improve: Dive into test results, provide insightful feedback to developers, and actively contribute to improving product quality.
• Contribute and Lead: Participate in peer code reviews and help shape best practices for test automation, driving excellence across the team.
• Step Up When Needed: Be prepared to take on on-call duties (~1 week/month), ensuring operational readiness and support.

• Proactive Problem-Solving: You take initiative, actively engage in discussions, and bring ideas to the table to drive improvements and innovation
• Test Automation Expertise: With solid experience in driving test automation initiatives, you know how to build and maintain frameworks that streamline quality assurance
• CI/CD Knowledge: You’re skilled in using CI/CD tools, ideally GitLab pipelines, to ensure seamless integration and deployment workflows
• Programming Proficiency: You’re comfortable coding in TypeScript, Python, or Go, leveraging your skills to build efficient and scalable solutions
• Cloud Experience: Your experience working with AWS or other public cloud environments enables you to design and implement reliable, scalable systems
• Kubernetes experience: You understand Kubernetes inside and out, applying your knowledge to orchestrate and manage containerized applications
• Networking Basics: You have foundational knowledge of networking concepts like DNS resolution and testing connectivity, ensuring smooth system operations
• Agile Mindset: Familiar with agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle, you thrive in dynamic, iterative environments
