Service Technician

Overview:

15 Lightyears Foundation is seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Technician to join our team full-time. In this role, you will support our charitable non-profit foundation by performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and remodeling tasks at our project sites across several counties in Central Florida and surrounding areas.

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Central Florida and Surrounding Areas.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday start time 7am (Potential for overtime is available)

Compensation and Benefits:

● $22/hour based on experience

Responsibilities Include:

● Perform general maintenance, repairs, and remodeling work, including carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, repair/framing/installing windows/doors, and basic plumbing/electrical tasks.

● Travel to various project sites to complete scheduled work and respond to urgent repair needs.

● Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.

● Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.

● Collaborate with team members and management to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

● Represent the Foundation professionally and courteously in all community interactions.

Qualifications:

● 2+ years experience: plumbing, basic electrical work, framing/installing of windows/doors, and general repair and maintenance work.

● Must have own tools (Drills, Saws, Bits, etc)

● Proficient in the safe use of power tools and hand tools

● Dependable, responsible, and manage time effectively.

● Ability to work independently.

● Willingness to travel across multiple counties in Central Florida.

● English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) is required; Spanish bilingualism is a plus.

● Valid Florida Driver’s License - Required.

● Must be able to Pass a Criminal Background Check and have a Clean Driving Record.

● Maintain a professional attitude at all times when interacting with customers, fellow employees, and supervisors.

● A passion for serving the community through nonprofit work.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

● Able to physically perform the following duties for prolonged periods of time.

● Unassisted lifting up to 50 pounds-Bending-Walking-Kneeling.

● Able to work on step ladders or extension ladders up to 30 feet.

● Able to work in confined spaces, indoors and outdoors in all climates, and environments while adhering to company safety requirements.
