The Role

Dexerto is looking for a Social Editor - X (Twitter) to help us maximise our presence on X, direct traffic to our website and post engaging videos which we can monetise.

What You Will Do

• Manage and maintain Dexerto's X presence, ensuring consistent posting and engagement throughout late UK / US hours.
• Craft compelling tweets that capture trending gaming and entertainment stories in Dexerto's distinctive voice.
• Monitor X trends and conversations to identify viral content opportunities and breaking news in gaming/entertainment culture.
• Collaborate with editorial teams to share stories that are suitable to be written and post stories that our writers have written.
• Engage with our X community, posting in our Streamer Community and responding to mentions and direct messages.
• Track and analyse X performance metrics to optimise posting strategies and content formats
• Stay current with X's latest features and best practices to keep our content fresh and innovative

What We're Looking For

• Experience managing a large X account with a significant follower count 
• Proven track record of creating viral or high-performing social media content
• Deep understanding of gaming, streamer and entertainment culture
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft engaging tweets that match our brand voice
• Strong knowledge of X's algorithm, best posting times, and engagement strategies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and react quickly to breaking news or trending topics
• Availability to work during US hours with flexibility for major gaming events or breaking news
