Job Title: Remote Social Media Manager 

Job Type: Part-Time | Independent Contractor 

About the Role: 

A creative, organized, and proactive Remote Social Media Manager is needed to support the client’s social media presence and day-to-day content operations. This role will primarily focus on editing and publishing content, managing social media accounts, maintaining a consistent posting schedule, and supporting the client’s overall online visibility.

The ideal candidate is comfortable transforming existing content into engaging social media posts and can manage the content process from editing through publishing. The role will also include support for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), with training provided by OptiNizers.

Key Responsibilities: 

Content Creation & Editing

• Edit and repurpose short-form videos for Instagram and other social media platforms


• Prepare captions, graphics, and other supporting content


• Turn existing content into polished, engaging, and platform-ready posts


• Ensure content follows the client’s brand, tone, and communication style


• Research relevant trends, topics, hashtags, and content ideas


• Organize content assets for easy access and future use

Social Media Management

• Manage the client’s social media accounts and daily content activities


• Schedule and publish posts, Reels, stories, and other social media content


• Maintain a consistent content calendar and posting schedule


• Monitor comments, messages, and basic audience engagement


• Keep social media profiles organized, updated, and aligned with the client’s brand


• Track basic content performance and provide updates or recommendations

Content Strategy & Online Visibility

• Support the development of content ideas based on the client’s goals and audience


• Help improve the consistency, quality, and discoverability of published content


• Assist with basic content optimization for search and audience engagement


• Identify opportunities to improve social media presence and content performance

GEO Support

• Assist with Generative Engine Optimization initiatives.


• Training on GEO processes, strategies, and requirements will be provided by OptiNizers.


• Be open to using AI tools and willing to learn how to apply them effectively to content creation, optimization, and online visibility.


• Support efforts to improve the client’s content visibility across AI-powered search and answer platforms.


• Apply the provided GEO training and AI-assisted workflows to support the client’s content and visibility goals.

Client Outreach & Follow-Up Support

• Provide occasional support with client outreach and follow-up communication.


• Assist with preparing messages, tracking responses, and maintaining timely follow-ups as needed.

Qualifications & Ideal Traits: 

Must-Have

• Previous experience in social media management, content creation, or a similar role


• Strong short-form video editing, caption writing, and content development skills


• Familiarity with Instagram and other major social media platforms


• Understanding of social media scheduling, content planning, and audience engagement


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail


• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills


• Creative, proactive, dependable, and able to work independently


• Ability to manage multiple content tasks and meet publishing deadlines
  

Preferred

• Experience creating or managing Instagram Reels and other short-form videos


• Previous experience working with clients or businesses in the legal or law industry. 


• Familiarity with content scheduling, design, and video-editing tools


• Basic knowledge of SEO, GEO, or digital content optimization


• Experience managing social media for a personal brand, professional, or service-based business


• Familiarity with social media analytics and performance reporting
