Job Purpose:

We are seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to define, design, and maintain technology solutions that align with business requirements and enterprise architecture standards. This role involves leading solution design efforts, providing technical direction, and collaborating across departments to ensure the successful integration of platforms including legacy systems, Blue Yonder SCPO, and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and document end-to-end technical solutions that meet business and functional requirements.
• Act as a technical leader, providing oversight, mentorship, and guidance to development teams.
• Serve as a subject matter expert across applications and systems, with a focus on supply chain solutions.
• Lead the creation of high-level and detailed solution designs, technical specifications, and product roadmaps.
• Coordinate and manage integration efforts involving legacy systems, ERP platforms, and planning tools.
• Develop and maintain testing strategies and test cases for validating core business functionality.
• Assess and document system functionality and ensure alignment with business goals and technology standards.
• Estimate technical work, evaluate design feasibility, and drive consistent application of best practices.
• Leverage external knowledge to recommend innovative approaches and improve internal methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–10+ years of experience in software development or related IT roles.
• At least 5 years in a solution design or technical leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Blue Yonder (BY) SCPO modules (e.g., Demand Planning, Fulfillment, Inventory Optimization).
• Proficient in integration technologies, including APIs, Kafka, Mulesoft, data replication, and secure file transfers.
• Solid understanding of technology stacks and underlying database structures.
• Proven experience designing integration architectures across various platforms (ERP, legacy, planning systems).
• Experience in developing and managing technical design documents and verifying work estimates.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with ETL tools and data pipeline frameworks.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies, including platforms like Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses.
• Exposure to modern database tools and best practices.

Additional Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, with deep exposure to mainframe systems and technologies.
• Significant experience in mainframe integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of legacy system optimization and modernization.
• Proven ability to analyze existing systems and provide scalable solutions for enterprise growth.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with retail or supply chain industry trends and best practices.

Technical Proficiency In

• Data integration using Snowflake and other cloud tools.
• Integration of data from Tandem systems to external platforms.
• Experience with Blue Yonder SCPO and WMS modules.
• Strong background in IBM mainframe systems and transportation management systems.
• Proficiency in Kafka and Mulesoft for real-time and batch data processing.
