Remote Special Education Teacher Job in Cambridge, MA

Are you a Special Education teacher looking for the flexibility of working remotely? VocoVision is collaborating with a school district in the Cambridge, MA area to schedule interviews for a fully virtual Special Education teacher.This position will treat you as an independent contractor, meaning you'll be able to schedule your own work hours while providing online services for students in need. All contracts with VocoVision are 1099 with the goal of providing better flexibility. Position Details

• 1099 independent contracting structure
• K-12grade caseload with mild-moderate symptoms
• Full-time expected hours (see below for more details)
• We work with a Zoom Plus application (HIPAA/FERPA compliant)
• You will be able to bill for both direct time with students in addition to time spent

Start and End Dates:Both End of School Year (EOSY) and 2024-25

School Hours:8:00 to 3:30 PM

• Full-time: 35-40hours per week.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Special Education.
• Massachusetts teaching certification for Special Education.
• 2 years of experience in a school setting.
• Professional liability insurance coverage to work with students.
• Home computer with camera and microphone functions with strong internet connection.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual classroom sessions for mild to moderate students.
• Collaborate with an onsite facilitator to accommodate for specific IEP needs.
• Manage and develop Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) for each student on caseload.
• Participate in virtual IEP meetings with family and faculty members.
