About the role

  • California Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) needed for the 2025-2026 school year 
  • Position will be in-person only
  • School-based caseload with optional private clinic hours

Qualifications

  • Active California SLP-A License (Required)
  • Demonstrated Experience Working with Children, ideally within school environments
  • Excellent Communication, Organization, and Collaboration Skills
  • Fingerprint Background Clearance – Required for school compliance and student safety

What you'll do

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to clients in a school or clinic setting, under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Support clients with developmental disabilities using evidence-based practices tailored to educational and/or clinical environments.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and therapy activities developed by the supervising SLP.
  • Track and document client performance during sessions, reporting progress and concerns to the supervising SLP.
  • Prepare engaging, age-appropriate therapy materials and maintain an organized therapy space within the school and/or clinic environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support carryover of speech and language goals into the classroom.
  • Adjust therapy approaches as needed, in collaboration with the SLP, to meet individual student needs and educational goals.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support therapy outcomes
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines, state licensure regulations, and school protocols relevant to SLPA practice.
