Our client, an A+ rated Insurance Carrier, is expanding its E&S footprint and is seeking an experienced Senior Regional E&S Marketing Underwriting Specialist to manage and grow its Texas territory. This position combines E&S underwriting expertise with a strong business development focus. The successful candidate will underwrite complex primary casualty risks within the non-admitted market while developing and strengthening relationships with retail and wholesale agency partners throughout Texas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced E&S Underwriting Professional who enjoys being in the market, building relationships, and growing a profitable book of business. This is a fully remote position with a company-issued vehicle included for both business and personal use!
Responsibilities:
Underwrite and manage a portfolio of primary casualty E&S / non-admitted business throughout the Texas territory.
Develop new business opportunities and expand existing agency and broker relationships across the region.
Evaluate complex insurance submissions to determine risk acceptability, appropriate pricing, coverage, and terms.
Quote, negotiate, modify, decline, and bind mid-sized and larger accounts in accordance with underwriting authority and company guidelines.
Drive profitable premium growth while maintaining appropriate underwriting discipline and portfolio balance.
Serve as a key resource for agency partners by providing guidance on underwriting appetite, commercial lines products, coverages, and company systems.
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and clients throughout the Texas market.
Monitor market conditions, competitive trends, and emerging risks that may impact underwriting strategy and business development efforts.
Requirements:
7+ years of marketing and/or commercial underwriting experience, with a strong background in primary casualty lines.
3+ years of E&S underwriting experience preferred.
Must reside in Texas and be comfortable traveling throughout the territory as needed.
Proven ability to develop and maintain strong broker and agency relationships.
Strong marketing, sales, negotiation, and business development skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
$150,000–$180,000+ base salary, plus new company-issued vehicle for business and personal use.
20–40% annual bonus.
