Job Description:
We are seeking a Sr Specialist, Finance Shared Services (GBS Analytics) to join our team. This senior professional will possess a strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle, analytical acumen, experience in driving and leading special projects and experience with automation, and proficiency in systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, HFM, and ARCS. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting activities as needed, for several accounting areas, including but not limited to, Cash, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Time and Labor, and Leases.
- Evaluate financial data and perform different analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Manage complex projects or processes with general oversight.
- Communicate within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
- Contribute to substantial improvements to systems and processes to enhance performance within the job area.
- Work to achieve departmental goals and operating plans with a direct impact on departmental results.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees.
- Explain, interpret, and gain cooperation on policies, procedures, and practices.
- Solve problems through creative solutions, leveraging prior experience and in-depth analysis of issues.
- Contribute to the development of goals for the department and assist in planning efforts including budgets and operational plans.
- Strong kowledge in internal controls and related regulations (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley)
- Support audit requests from internal and external auditors

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
- CPA, CFA, CPP or CMA designation is a plus
- Professional with knowledge in capital management, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis.
- Experience with risk assessments and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software Costpoint
- Experience with Payroll Accounting and Time and Labor and systems
- ADP Smart Compliance
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $82,500-$153,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $71,500-$132,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
