Supply Chain and Operations Planner

About Our Client

Our client is an established footwear company with a strong presence in the Walmart supplier community. They are a family-owned business that has grown to scale but remains flexible to meet changing customer needs and continue an entrepreneurial spirit. They serve Walmart, Sam's Club, and many other national retailers as a core retail partner and are investing in operational excellence to support long-term account growth. This is an attractive opportunity for a planner and supply chain manager who wants to play a key role on the Walmart account team. 

2. Position Overview

The Supply Chain and Operations Planner supports all operational and supply chain activities for the Walmart business. This role serves as a key operational partner to Sales, Planning, Production, Logistics, and Walmart stakeholders, helping ensure flawless execution, inventory management, and long-term account growth.  The position reports to the national sales leader. 

• Work arrangement: Remote in Northwest Arkansas or New York City, NY


• Travel requirements: minimal

3. Key Responsibilities

• Support forecasting, inventory planning, order management, and replenishment initiatives.


• Partner with Sales leadership to support growth opportunities and seasonal business plans.


• Monitor order fulfillment, supply chain performance, and inventory health to support in-stock performance.


• Ensure compliance with Walmart programs, requirements, and vendor standards.


• Review sales reports, identify risks, and recommend proactive solutions to support sales and operational objectives.


• Analyze business performance and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.


• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Walmart merchants, replenishment teams, and operational contacts.


• Participate in pricing discussions, connect selling data to quote development, and submit quotes in Walmart systems.


• Set up styles in Walmart systems and follow up on Walmart order management. 


• Coordinate with the Sourcing team to confirm orders are placed and can meet customer delivery dates.


• Follow up with factories on packaging dimensions for Walmart approval, and with the images team on Walmart image requests.


• Arrange first cost and/or private label audits as needed.


• Order and track Walmart special sample requests.


• Monitor Walmart POs ahead of ship dates, on-schedule arrivals, change requests, and requesting PO splits. 

4. Required Qualifications

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in supply chain, operations planning, and account support for a Walmart vendor.


• Direct experience working within Walmart systems, including Retail Link, Supplier One, Walmart Connect, Item360, and Scintilla.


• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.


• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred

• Footwear, apparel, or adjacent category experience.

5. Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: 100,000 - 150,000


• Bonus opportunity: TBD
