General Summary
The Cenral Michigan Senior Lender will focus on business development and selling bank services while proactively leading a team of Commercial Lending and Business Development personnel in the Southeast Michigan and Great Lakes Bay Regional Markets. They will have lending authority to make decisions on commercial loan applications. Will develop and manage commercial loan accounts that meet established lending requirements and provide maximum profitability to the Bank at minimum risk.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities
Has extensive direct or indirect reporting responsibility. Carries out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; handing complaints and resolving problems.

Written and Oral Communication – Effective written and oral communication skills required, with the ability to interface with Internal and external stakeholders and community partners. Has group presentation skills.

Regulatory Compliance: Ability to read, interpret, and apply bank policies and procedures and to complete initial and ongoing training successfully for this job’s essential duties and requirements in order to maintain compliance with federal and state banking and bank-related regulations, including but not limited to Bank Security, Bank Secrecy, OFAC, Information Security, etc.
Strategic Thinking & Planning - Develops strategies to achieve organizational goals; understands organization's strengths & weaknesses; analyzes market conditions and competition; identifies external threats and opportunities, adapts strategy to changing conditions.
