Team Lead - AI

RMgX Technologies is a Digital Product Engineering firm focused on AI-powered product development, digital transformation, and complex systems integration. 

As a Team Lead – AI, we are looking for a strong Python engineer with hands-on exposure to AI/ML or Generative AI, along with the ability to guide a small team and own critical modules.

This role is ideal for someone who is transitioning into leadership while remaining hands-on in development and contributing to real-world AI-powered applications.

• Design and develop scalable AI-enabled backend systems and applications

• Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, LangChain, etc.) into business use cases

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs for AI-driven features

• Contribute to development of AI-powered applications (chatbots, automation tools, etc.)

• Guide and support junior developers, ensuring code quality and best practices

• Work on improving performance, latency, and reliability of AI systems

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions

• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production systems

• Participate in sprint planning and ensure timely delivery of assigned modules

• Work with basic MLOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, and versioning (good to have)

• B.E/B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in software development, with strong focus on Python-based backend development
• Hands-on experience or exposure to AI/ML/NLP or Generative AI use cases
• Experience in building and deploying APIs, microservices, and scalable applications
• Familiarity with integrating LLM APIs or AI services into real-world applications
• Exposure to MLOps concepts, such as model deployment, monitoring, or lifecycle management (good to have)
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring or guiding junior team members/interns
• Experience working in Agile environments, contributing to sprint-based delivery
• Ability to take ownership of modules/features and deliver with minimal supervision
• Experience in debugging, performance optimization, and production support
