Technical SEO Specialist

Odds Scanner is looking for a Technical SEO Specialist to join our remote full-time team focused on the sports betting industry.

In this role, you will be doing a lot of experiments and testing different strategies and executions. Not all of them will be successful, but we’re looking for someone who is willing to learn, is comfortable with the unknown and has an ability to execute on our short, medium and long-term goals.

• Execute advanced website audits to identify potential technical issues and unexplored opportunities;
• Collaborate with project owners and developers to fix technical issues which might hinder organic search performance (e.g. crawlability, indexability, site architecture, pagespeed, CWV, responsiveness, structured data, canonicalization);
• Organize and prioritize backlog of fixes for each website with the team lead;
• Develop performance and operational reports to aid strategic decision making;
• Experiment with new technical SEO tactics and tools to optimize operational efficiency;
• Collaborate with the team lead on developing training assets when necessary.

• At least 2 years of technical SEO experience;
• Ability to investigate technical issues using SEO tools (e.g. Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMRush, Sitebulb, Oncrawl);
• Ability to navigate the WP dashboard and implement simple changes;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills;
• Organizational capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
• Experience with agile methodologies is a plus;
• Proficiency in reading code is a plus (e.g. Javascript, PHP, HTML, CSS);
• Someone who is native in Brazilian Portuguese and has working proficiency in English;
• Someone who can work independently but is willing to learn.
