We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage and process our end-to-end payroll operations. The ideal candidate must have extensive hands-on experience with the Paycom platform to ensure accurate salary disbursements, tax compliance, and seamless HRIS data management. As a remote team member, you will be responsible for maintaining high levels of precision and confidentiality while working independently to meet strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing: Own the full-cycle bi-weekly payroll process using Paycom, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.

  • System Management: Manage and update employee data within Paycom, including new hires, terminations, status changes, and benefit deductions.

  • Compliance: Ensure all payroll activities comply with federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as labor laws (FLSA, etc.).

  • Audit & Reconciliation: Perform regular audits of payroll data, timecards, and Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Reporting: Generate and analyze custom payroll, tax, and labor reports for management using Paycom’s reporting tools.

  • Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay, tax withholdings, and Paycom system navigation.

  • Garnishments: Administer and monitor wage garnishments, tax liens, and child support orders within the Paycom system.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in payroll administration.

  • Paycom Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Paycom is strongly requested; experience with its HRIS, Time and Attendance, and Tax Management modules is essential.

  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and a solid understanding of multi-state payroll regulations.

  • Remote Proficiency: Ability to work independently in a virtual environment, utilizing digital collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams) to stay connected.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to handle sensitive financial information with total discretion.

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
