Job Description - Travel Counselor


Corporate Travel Trainer – Empower the Future of Travel with Blockskye

The Corporate Travel Trainer will play a critical role in developing and executing training strategies, curriculum, and content for our Travel Team in collaboration with key travel partners. As Blockskye continues to expand and launch innovative solutions within the travel and expense industry, this role will ensure frontline travel professionals are fully equipped to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.

The Trainer will lead end-to-end training programs, including virtual instructor-led facilitation, new hire training, cross-training, and continuous development, ensuring the team’s sustained success.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to translate business needs into highly effective training curriculum 
  • Develop impactful learning solutions to drive the performance and expertise of our front line travel team via e-learning and virtual instructor led training 
  • Facilitate virtual training in partnership with our key stakeholders 
  • Measure training effectiveness and provide feedback to business leaders on key successes and areas of opportunity for class participants
  • Maintain training content
  • Test new processes and technical releases, communicating necessary details to the intended audience 
  • Support operational needs when not engaged in training sessions, including queue work and agent help desk support

Requirements

  • 5+ years corporate travel and customer service experience
  • Proficiency in all aspects of Amadeus GDS is essential
  • Strong understanding of current trends and research in adult learning with an in-depth understanding of online learning principles, technologies, and multimedia 
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business processes/concepts into meaningful learning content
  • Prior experience delivering training within the travel industry
  • Excellent presentation and virtual facilitation skills, with a strong ability to engage remote learners 
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities
  • Exceptional oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and manage changing priorities, focusing on  employee development and customer satisfaction 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving, decision-making and project management 
  • Highly motivated and passionate about coaching, customer service and travel 
  • Flexible to support the working hours of a diverse remote team
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools, such as Articulate and Adobe Captivate, is a plus
