ROLE SUMMARY
This role is integral to the successful delivery of a large, complex, and multi-disciplinary program of transport delivery, resulting in a successful travel demand management operation for the FIFA World Cup 2026™. The successful applicant will have proven experience of bringing together operational plans, transport planning, and analysis to develop and deliver interventions that mitigate congestion and disruption. This role specifically will lead the development and implementation of a regional travel demand management (TDM) program working in close collaboration with critical stakeholders at a regional level. This role is suited to an individual who excels in a fast-paced, small team environment. What You Will Do:
Establish and lead the NYNJ FWC26 TDM program in line with agreed TDM approach (developed in May 2025)
Lead the TDM Working Group and form key stakeholder relationships across workstream leads
Develop a high-level core narrative to understand the scale of the challenge and inform the TDM program
Provide program management and project coordination for the TDM program across multiple partners to ensure their timely operational delivery
Work closely with other workstream leads to develop responses appropriate to the scale of disruption anticipated
Lead delivery of engagement for the TDM program with businesses, communities, and visitors
Provide high quality and responsive advice, information, support, and intelligence on relevant aspects of the TDM program to agencies
Liaise with external partners to deliver appropriate governance and a visible presence for the NYNJ FWC26 TDM program
Work with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach in the delivery of the TDM program and operational plans
Lead and manage TDM resource(s) that will be required to deliver the program
Matrix-manage internal and external partners, as appropriate
Coordinate with the Transportation workstream to support the transportation C4 structure planning and implementation
Input into a risk management group reporting on TDM specific considerations
Establish a monitoring program to understand the effectiveness of the TDM campaign
Develop, forecast, and monitor budgets for plans, programs, and projects within the TDM program
What You Bring:
Extensive experience operating within a political and partnership environment
Experience in program and project management for significant sized projects, ideally in transport and logistics related to major sporting events or similar industries
Industry experience developing mitigation strategies in the context of managing travel demand or transport, logistics, or similar (preferable for other major events programs)
Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to enthuse, persuade, negotiate, and influence both verbally and in writing to motivate others
The confidence and ability to provide authoritative advice and develop and deliver presentations to a range of audience

Salary Range Information Based on market data and other functions, the annual salary range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000. These figures represent the full compensation range of this position. The actual offered amount will be determined based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity.
