Virtual Medical Assistant

Location/Type: Remote • Must reside in Kansas
Pay: $16.00/hour • Contract, full-time
Schedule: Kansas business hours • Some evening/weekend flex

• Conduct Health Status Assessments (HSAs) by phone/video
• Confirm demographics, meds, chronic conditions, functional status
• Document Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) per KanCare rules
• Flag care gaps; escalate urgent concerns to supervising clinicians
• Enter data in EMR in real time (HIPAA/CMS/KanCare compliant)
• Partner with nurses and care coordinators to close gaps
• Meet QA and timeliness standards

• Kansas residency
• Formal MA training or 2–3 years healthcare work experience
• Comfortable with EMR/EHR and telehealth tools
• Reliable internet + private professional workspace
• Able to work Kansas business hours with some flex

• Familiarity with Kansas Medicaid (KanCare)

• Pay: $16.00/hour
