VMware Virtualization Engineer

FREEDOM FINANCE TECHNOLOGIES is a Cyprus-based fintech company and part of the international financial holding Freedom Finance. We develop and maintain trading and banking IT products, as well as the holding’s IT infrastructure worldwide.  

Our team currently consists of 170 professionals.  Over the past three years, we have grown fourfold and continue to actively expand our team.  

Since 2009, we have been developing our core product - a trading system for brokerage operations in the stock market.  

More than 700,000 users across 41 countries use our applications. 

We are looking for a VMware Virtualization Engineer to strengthen our Virtualization and Network Infrastructure team. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Operate and develop production virtualization infrastructure based on VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter). 

• Support high-availability virtualization clusters and participate in incident resolution. 

• Analyze and resolve technical issues related to hypervisor performance, network infrastructure, and storage systems. 

• Work with storage systems using Fibre Channel and iSCSI. 

• Collaborate with the network infrastructure team to ensure the proper operation of the virtualization environment. 

• Participate in the installation, connection, and commissioning of server hardware. 

• Operate server remote management systems (iDRAC and similar tools). 

• Take part in infrastructure modernization, migration, and testing projects. 

• Experience administering VMware vSphere in a production environment. 

• Understanding of VMware architecture, including the ESXi scheduler, NUMA architecture, memory management, and storage subsystem. 

• Experience working with storage systems: Fibre Channel zoning, multipathing, latency, and performance analysis. 

• Knowledge of networking technologies required for virtualization operations: VLANs, trunks, LACP, MTU/jumbo frames, and basic L2/L3 principles. 

• Understanding of KVM virtualization principles and architectural differences from VMware. 

• Experience working with enterprise-grade server hardware (Dell, Supermicro, or similar). 

• Experience with server remote management systems (iDRAC), including remote access, firmware updates, and basic hardware diagnostics. 

• Strong independent troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
• Native Russian
