This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a VP of Networking Sales, SLED East in the United States.
This role leads a regional sales organization focused on driving growth and market share across networking solutions in the SLED (State, Local, Education) sector. You will develop and execute strategic plans, cultivate executive-level relationships, and oversee a high-performing sales team to meet ambitious revenue goals. The position requires a balance of strategic vision and hands-on operational leadership, with extensive travel across the assigned region. Your leadership will influence both customer success and internal culture, ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams and executing initiatives that expand market presence. This role is ideal for a results-driven sales executive who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and enjoys leading large teams toward measurable impact.
Accountabilities:
- Lead and provide operational and strategic direction for a regional sales team of 8–12 direct reports, encompassing over 60 professionals
- Drive attainment of revenue targets across the full networking portfolio, including new customer acquisition and account expansion
- Partner with cross-functional teams—including compute, cloud, and channel teams—to execute integrated sales strategies
- Establish regional goals, track partner and team performance, and ensure alignment with revenue, attach, and ecosystem growth objectives
- Implement disciplined sales processes (MEDDPICC or equivalent) and manage forecasting, pipeline, and opportunity qualification
- Hire, coach, and develop top talent while fostering a collaborative, outcome-driven sales culture
- Engage directly with senior customer and partner executives to articulate value propositions and influence decisions
Requirements:
- Proven track record of leading and scaling high-performing networking sales teams, ideally with SLED experience
- Demonstrated success selling complex, multi-product portfolios and achieving both new logo acquisition and account expansion
- Strong operational discipline with expertise in MEDDPICC or comparable sales methodologies
- Excellent executive communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-changing, matrixed environments and maintain focus under pressure
- High resilience, internal locus of control, and a results-driven mindset
- Comfort with extensive travel (approximately 75% within assigned region)
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with quota attainment, forecasting, and sales performance metrics
