Job Details:
- We are currently scheduling interviews for a part time position available for the upcoming school year.
- Primarily focused on providing virtual sign language interpretation support for a middle school student
- Responsibilities include collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure effective communication for students with hearing impairments.
- Provide virtual sign language interpretation for classroom instruction, meetings, and other school-related activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports.
Job Requirements:
- Michigan certified interpreter with a valid EIPA Performance score of 4.0 or higher or eligible to obtain a waiver if EIPA score is 3.5 - 3.9
- Preferably have prior experience interpreting forchildren or adolescents in an educational setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Dedicated to ensuring effective communication and equal access to education for students with hearing impairments.
